A regular Thursday evening in suburbia

Had Ravioli and Sausage for dinner
Cleaned up the kitchen
Washed the dishes
Saw 25 S.W.A.T bust down the neighbors door across the street
Played a little ball with the kids
Ate some popcorn

You know the regular.

Wait, what..back-up S.W.A.T.

As I was cleaning up the kitchen and Jon was trimming fingernails I glanced out the back window to see 25+ S.W.A.T. officers in riot gear with rifles and guns blazing. For a split second I was really hoping we weren't going to witness some sort or mistaken house and have them knock on our door. They hurried across the street from us and spread out around the house. The officer knocked several times, no one answered so the busted the door right in off the hinges. We still don't know anything regarding what is going on but it made me nervous for our little quiet neighborhood. The most interaction we with any of our neighbors is exchanging pleasantries while we walk up the street or get in the car. I'm more inclined to keep it that way after tonight.

How has your Thursday evening been?

No SWAT team here yet. I'll keep waiting though.

Wow no SWAT here either, we see random cop teams b/c our neighbors are somewhat ghetto but it's usually during daylight hours!

Wow! Your night was wayyyy more exciting than mine. Ours was dinner, kids baths, email, Friends reruns, and now blogs. We never get excitement like that. The most we get is the occasional cop (well Security Forces since we live on base) pulling someone over for speeding.

Holy SMOKIES, Batman! I had a similar incident once, but it wasn't SWAT, and there were only like 6 of 'em. I have, however, seen our SWAT guys walk into the Subway next to one of our offices, and that is a lot of very sexy man. If you catch 'em just packin' the heat strapped to a thigh, as opposed to pulling it on the neighbors, it's still a pretty exciting sight! ;)

Yikes!!!! I would have run for cover. Hope it was just a case of mistaken address.
